I just want to share with you some of the things

that the Lord used to totally, totally, totally change my life.

And here I am, 50 years later, 50 years ago, tonight,

I had no clue that I'd ever be doing what I'm doing. And yet, man, God just totally

turned my life around. And it was primarily through two verses of scripture. Let me turn

over here and read to you in Romans chapter 12, verses one and two. These are the verses that the

Lord used to totally change my life.

And let me set this up that when I was in high school, a senior in high school, you know,

up until the time that I graduated from high school, my life was pretty much planned out.

You had to go through school before you could think about anything else. And so I really

didn't think much about all of that. But my senior year in high school, they started having

career days and talking about what are you going to do when you graduate. And so I began to

start thinking about it. And one thing I learned in the Baptist Church, it was just important. It was

big. And that was that God had a purpose for my life.

That it is not up to me to pick and choose. God created us with the purpose. And so I knew that.

And when I was my senior year in high school, I started asking the pastor and leaders in the church,

how do you find God's will for your life?

And nobody could tell me.

They just basically said, well, it just happens.
