Continue talking about the Anthony Davis deal. We have a bunch of clips here of reactions after the deal went

down. I believe this first clip is from ESPN, Brian Winhorst and company reacting to the

Anthony Davis to the Wizards trade. As Shams said, this is all about the price. The price for Anthony Davis is next to rock bottom. This is a glorified salary. But couldn't they have waited and could his price have gone up? Could they have gotten more in return? I don't think so. I think they evaluated that the price for Anthony Davis is very low. and this is not an insult to Anthony Davis. This is just a reality. They did get two first round picks in name. But the one pick is Oklahoma City's pick. That is very likely going to be the 30th pick in the year's draft. If they're passed by the Pistons, maybe 29th. The other pick that they got is top 20 protected four years from now. Okay, then the second round picks.

Basically, this was a salary dump, and Washington just couldn't say no to this. And so Washington

is just doing something that is hard to do. They're going to be in a tank. And so I expect Anthony Davis

to barely play at all this year, like Trey Young is going to play. And then as soon as...

They cannot because their pick is top eight protected.

And as soon as they get that pick, top eight protected, they're going to flip the car around and say, okay, here we go. Let's go next year. We're going to go. Here comes Trey Young. Here comes Anthony Davis. They're going to be magically healthy. and they're going to have a nice high draft pick

and they're going to be ready to go.

So this is sort of ideal for Washington and this is kind of what Utah did yesterday. They're going to try to do the same flip as well. They're going to continue taking and do the flip. That's ideally what you do and that's what this trade deadline is about. It's a bold strategy. I mean, we've been doing, I've been doing this for 30 years. I've never seen a team go out and trade for two all-stars who are injured to keep their

own pick this year and then basically flip that rebuild to next year and hit the ground running.

Can you imagine a healthy Anthony Davis and Trey Young and then getting a top five pick with

already Alexar and Bilal Kulbali and Trey Johnson and then getting a top five pick with already Alexar and Bilal Kulbali and
