The Pope, according to a report just four hours ago, has clarified that homosexuality and sin

have something to do with each other, but not quite what faithful Catholics are hoping.

This happened just four hours ago, and when he gave an AP interview two and a half days ago,

my instinct, Parish Dauphins of Retrogrades, was to jump on it.

It's always the instinct.

I knew there would be a clarification of his statement, which in the first place called

for the worldwide decriminalization of sodomy, actual literal globo-homo.

I knew that the Pope's planers are just folks that are rooting for Francis still at this point would be saying

there's got to be something that mitigates or lessens the material heresy, a sound that this

comment has. And like he did in February of 2016, he did clarify what he meant. He doubled down on it.

He doubled down on it. So we're going to discuss a few different things today, but they will all point us at the bigger topic on today's episode of Rules for Retrogrades.

And Liz Yor, a commenter for Lifesite News, just said the synod on Synodality that has its next meeting later this year,

is it really the Synod on homosexuality? I would answer yes. Liz answered yes. Father Altman

and John Henry Weston over at Lifesite News all seem to agree the answer is yes. I think you,

parish orphans and retrogrades, will think that Pope Francis's pontificate and emphasis on synodality, an undefined

term, according to Cardinal Powell, a made up term, has all revolved around making gay okay.
