Tonight I'll be reading Part 8, Chapter 17 to 19 of Polyana by Eleanor H. Porter.

In the previous chapters, Polyanna went to visit the poorly Mr. Pendleton with a gift, but

he seemed to have reverted back to his grumpy old

ways, and Pollyanna left dejected. She also spent some time with Dr. Chilton, who seemed

enamored by her positive attitude. Days later, Pollyanna convinced her aunt to let her do her hair,

though Aunt Polly felt quite embarrassed after the fact. At the end of the chapter, Dr. Chilton

called upon Pollyanna, saying that Mr. Pendleton had requested her attendance at his house.

Now that we're caught up with the story so far, let's get ourselves ready for sleep.
