Today we'll be talking about all varieties of politics, geopolitical, domestic,

partisan, and party politics, and the politics of ideological conflict. And of course,

the political economy, whether proximate and local or global. And we turn first to the

latest on the Russian invasion of Ukraine and all Ukraine is now of course a war zone.

Every city, a battlefield, Putin has thrown more of his troops into the invasion.

He's ordered more missiles, rockets, and bombs directed to strategic targets in the attacks.

And in Kiev, the Russians warned citizens to leave and then immediately began devastating attacks

that if sustained would level much of the city that has already been under siege for almost a week.

The Vladimir Zelensky spoke to the European Parliament and asked for their urgent assistance

as a 40-mile long convoy of tanks and trucks loaded with Russian troops

rose slowly toward Kiev. That slow and halting pace of the convoy has led some US military

analysts to speculate that the Russians are running out of fuel and food. Zelensky and many of his

military analysts say that the next 48 hours could determine Ukraine's fate. Zelensky asked the

Europeans what difference though does it make to say for 80 years that we will never forget
