polling polling polling yeah there's a perceived uh importance of college education

allegedly because there's this new poll that says that uh people don't think it's that important

anymore it has dropped to a new low this is a gallop poll it's kennel and casey by the way

okay so what what does the poll say?

Only 35% of U.S. adults now say a college education is, quote, very important. Yeah. Okay.

So this stuff all sort of like culminated in, because I remember this, my mother was a high school

English teacher. And in the 90s, they divided the kids

basically into two paths, right? There was what they called college prep and what they called tech

prep, which meant, hey, you're not going to a four-year institution. Maybe, you know, maybe you do a two-year

an apprenticeship, you know, whatever, right?

And they prepared kids based on that.

Like you sort of chose the path and then boom.

And then somewhere along the way, they started almost like shaming you.

Remember the time I was in high school.

Basically, it was unacceptable to not have some sort of college, you know,

part of your career path or whatever where, and I don't know why.

I mean, I'm sure that the education institutionalists, you know, kept at it long enough

that they got us thinking along those lines. And now, you know, kept at it long enough that they got us thinking along those lines.

And now, you know, 25 years or whatever later, 20, 25 years later, people are kind of wise to,

hey, there's a lot of careers that are really good and pay a lot of money.

And you don't need a college degree for it.

That's right.
