yesterday a little bit about McKay and some basic overview about bees, but what do bees produce that we can use both in our garden

and in our kitchen? It's much deeper than honey and understanding this gives us a more complete picture on why bees are so valuable

and why we really need to both preserve and encourage them in our environments and also just in our

own home gardens. So without further ado, let's go ahead

and talk with McKay about what bees produce.

How about, and this is something I'm actually

somewhat confused about,

because you've got all the different products I guess

that bees create and so you've got like pollen, honey, royal jelly which is like the coolest

sounding name ever,aewax etc.

So like what are the I guess products that like a bee will create that we can then use in some way?

Yeah a lot of people don't know that bees produce honey bees

produce more than honey.

So when they fly from flower to flower,

they're collecting the nectar,

and the nectar goes in their mouth and they will spit it from B to B and

put it inside the bees wax and that becomes the honey. Well when they're going from flower to

flower they're getting pollen all over their body.

And they will brush the pollen off of their body and it collects in these little pollen pockets on their back legs.

And they bring that pollen back to the hive and they collect the pollen as well.

They usually will take the pollen with a little bit of honey and that's what they feed the
