I'm Chris Hayes, today, law makers in the Republican-controlled Florida State House

passed a bill banning abortion after just six weeks of pregnancy, effectively a complete and total ban.

A new ban now goes to Governor Ron DeSantis, who has expected to sign it into law,

which will make Florida one of the most restrictive states in the Union on abortion.

As highlights, just how seriously the Republican Party, conservative of the American right wing,

is pursuing its anti-abortion aims, and how key the issue is going to be in the next presidential election.
