and it's titled Why Good Friday was Dangerous for Jews in the Middle Ages and how that changed.

And he talks about, from the fourth century, the Catholic way of celebrating Good Friday,

I was to traditionally read from the Gospel of John's account of Jesus' crucifixion,

which specifically blames the Jews for basically the crucifixion of Jesus.

And during the medieval Good Friday service, Christians prayed for the Perfidious Jews,

which was sung in this piece. It was the voice of God accusing the Jewish people of faithlessness

again, medieval times and Catholic times, after the services people would leave the Catholic

church and go out and throw stones at the homes of Jews. This didn't change really in a big

way until after World War II. After the Holocaust, you know, the lot of Christian churches
