He published a book December 2021 titled Political Truth, The Media and the Assassination of President Kennedy. And Mr. McBride has published many books, at least 20 here. But he's had a very productive year.

He's putting out four books in a very short period of time.

And other books that are coming out, one is titled Billy Wilder, Dancing on the Edge.

Another is whatever happened to Orson Wells, a portrait of an independent career.

It's an updated edition.

And then I think in March he's coming out with the whole durn

human comedy life according to the cohen brothers and we can go into some of his other books and

titles but i'd like to just go through his background joseph mcbride is an american film historian

biographer screenwriter and professor in the school of Cinema at San Francisco State University.

He has published 24 books since 1968, including acclaimed biographies of Frank Capra,

John Ford, and Stephen Spielberg.

He previously published Into the Nightmare, My Search for the Killers of President John F. Kennedy

and Officer J.D. Tippett in 2013.

It was a book that was both epic and intimately personal, and it was the result of his

31-year investigation of the Kennedy assassination up to that time. The book contained

many fresh revelations from McBride's rare interviews with people in Dallas,

archival discoveries, and what novelist Thomas Flanagan in the New York Review of Books

called his wide knowledge of American social history, which also informs his new book,

which we're going to talk about, political truth with which draws on and amplifies his
