I'm John Dickerson here with David Plotz and Emily Bazelon.

Before we get to our topics, Mr. Plotz has an important announcement about an upcoming

Slate Gab Fest event.

Well, I was trying to give it a sense of moment.

I was up here on my chair, gesticulating.

Also, Emily, you haven't gotten the memo. That's how I want to be referred to from now on. Great. Great.

So we've been teasing and teasing and teasing this idea that we're going to do a live Gab Fest during the inauguration

week and we're going to do it. So we have the details for you. So get ready to take notes, although

we'll be posting all this to the Gab Fest page and badgering people about it in the coming weeks.

But the plan is for us to do a show, a live show, also with audience questions, on Monday, January 19th at 4 p.m., that's the day before the inauguration.

It's going to be at the Jack Morton Auditorium at George Washington University.

The address is 805 21st Street, northwest D.C.

And the G.W.'s downtown campus. And you should RSVP to us for, to reserve tickets. Tell us how many tickets you want, no more than four, please.

And you can send us an email to GabFest Tickets, GabFest Tickets at gmail.com. Those of you who have already sent us

preemptive RSVPs, you can send us them again, or we will send you a note and just asking

you to confirm. And we are not going to charge for this event, but please do not request

tickets you don't plan to use. We will mock you mercilessly if you ask for tickets and don't show up and deprive some other worthy of a ticket that you don't use. Because we're going to take a roll. We'll take a roll. We'll take a roll there. And roll will take like two hours. But then the show will be really good. But we can't wait to do this, and we're looking forward to meeting everybody.
