Hello, and welcome to this late political gab fest. I'm John Dickerson here in Slate's offices with

Emily Bazelon, and we have sitting in for David Plotz,

the wonderful Dana Milbeck, who writes the Washington sketch for the Washington Post,

our sister publication owner, whatever, and also is it will be coming out with a book in January.

Homo Politicus, is that right? Is that the name, Dana?

That is the name of the book, and I've shaved my heads to get into the mode of plots.

Excellent. You have to speak very deeply. And you have to dismiss everything everyone else says and say that it's not really interesting. And then contradict yourself by the end of your sentence.

I am prepared.

Okay.

Which brings us to Hillary Clinton.

Our first topic will be the debate in which it was six against one, and Hillary Clinton didn't have a very good night.

Good, because that's the point of my first question, which is if a tree falls in the forest,
