My guests are three leaders in our community who really need no formal introduction, but

I am here joined by Sheikh Dr. Yasser Qadi, Dr. Shadil Musri, and civil rights attorney

Hassan Shibli, Salamu Alaykum brothers, thanks so much for coming on the show today.

So this idea for this podcast, the political engagement, the idea came about about a month

ago. Sheikh Yasser, that was you and Chicago, was that roughly four weeks or something around

that time?

Yeah, I mean, a few weeks to go, as usual, we hear each other up in terms of the burgers

of Chicago.

Right.

Had that weakness, bro, in Shalala, I love my burgers and steaks in Chicago, so we were

just discussing, and I don't know why the topic came up, obviously, political engagement.

And I said, you know what, we need to really have a frank conversation and dialogue with

people of diverse backgrounds so that we can understand the spectrum of new ones here

and to understand why people feel the way that they do.

And you know, Mahin, I know that you had a podcast, so one thing led to another, and Hamdulillah,
