In a monumental ruling from the US Supreme Court, local governments as well as local municipalities

are now once again allowed to prosecute homeless people for sleeping on public property.

This ruling, it officially closed the major loophole which was what allowed large

swaths of American cities to be absolutely covered in homeless encampments. And perhaps the best

part about this ruling is that through sheer

coincidence it came just in time for the 2024 election and I do mean sheer

coincidence I mean these things take years to go through the legal channels,

you have to hear both sides of the arguments,

the justices have to deliberate,

and then you never know when they're going to publish it.

So there's very, very little chance

that it was meant to come out before the election.

But it did.

In practical terms, this means that with only two months left to go until election day,

we're now suddenly seeing cities like San Francisco, Venice Beach, Long Beach, and so on begin to finally clear out their homeless
