And for assignment this week, I'm in Portugal

to investigate a recent serious incident,

which has fueled long-standing claims

of police brutality and racism.

And it was quickly...

It shoot, it shoot, it shoot.

Immediately, I was shot, I was shot again in the leg.

They said, you are lucky that the law doesn't allow.

Because if law allow, you will be executed.

To understand what happened, I've come to where it began,

a colourful and controversial neighbourhood

on the outskirts of Lisbon, called Cava de Mordor.

The sun is shining and the music's playing here in Cava de Mordor.

There's a car pulled up with a big set of speakers

in it playing Funana, which is typical Cape Verdean music.

We take it streets as all space to interact with the people.

Everybody knows each other, the human connection.

There's something that disappears in a lot of big seats.
