Today, a police officer has been cleared of murdering Chris Kaba who he shot in south London.

Martyn Blake, shot Chris Kaba, who was unarmed, during a police vehicle stop in Streatham in September 2022. The officer denied intending to kill the 24-year-old. But first of all, mid afternoon on Monday a 40 year old metropolitan police officer called Martin Blake was found not guilty of murdering Chris Caba.

Now Chris Caba was killed in September 2022 he was a black man who lived in South London. He was about to become a dad.

He was driving an Audi car that had been linked to a shooting in Brixton, another area of

South London the night before.

He was stopped by armed police officers and Martin Blake then fatally shot him.

This trial had been going on for the last couple of weeks and jurors heard that during the

incident Chris Caba had been driving his car backwards and forwards, the alleged trying to

ram his way free from the police stop.

And Martin Blake's defense was that he felt that his colleagues' lives were in danger

and that he did not intend to kill Chris Caba.
