I live in a place where there is a lot of crime and it's been some time since I reported on this crime since I was

honest about what goes on around here. So here's Scott Carrier reading from the Times Argus police log.

The following is a sampling of calls to the Montpelier and Berry police in recent months.

An aggressive salesperson was reported on Colonial Drive. Someone

pooped on the floor of an ATM on State Street. The cat in the Pearl Street apartment was being vocal again.

There was an injured chicken on Liberty Street. There was a report of an elderly

naked man running on the north branch nature trails. On River Street, a

significant pothole was reported.

On North Main Street, a truck was doing burnouts in a parking lot.

A rooster was crowing on Pearl Street.

Someone was yelling, kicking up dirt and waving their arms around on State Street.

A report of someone trying to pick a fight and showing a gun in their waistband turned out to be someone wearing a Fanny Pack on Summer Street.

Someone walked up to a car, took the keys and a machete out of the vehicle, hit the vehicle with the

machete, and threatened people on Division Street.

On Maple Grove Street, a caller reported going into the home of a family member who had died and found someone had tried to burn a cell phone in the residence.

A man was walking up Route 62 with a cat. A Postal Service

worker was peeking in a school classroom on Park

a suspicious item found at City Hall Park turned out to be a Christmas decoration.

A dog was chasing sheep on Walker Terrace.

People were throwing watermelons from a parking garage

on National Life Drive.
