Hey guys Joe Thorne here from Doctrine and Devotion. Before you get into the episode I need to issue a

correction retraction apology that sort of a thing. We've had to do this on a couple of occasions and this is when one of us will say something on the podcast that is sometimes

misunderstood and that's our fault for not communicating very clearly.

Sometimes it's because we said something that was

absolutely wrong and inaccurate and we didn't know.

And sometimes it's because we might have said something that was offensive and we need to apologize for that.

So it's never our intention to make those mistakes or cross those lines when they happen, but sometimes they do.

And so here is another case. During this episode that you're about to listen to,

we read some screenshots from a Facebook group and one of these screenshots is a comment made by a man about a woman and

he says essentially that this woman has a horse face and is a whore.

Regardless of the intent behind it,

whether he was joking or not,

we found that in the broader context of this group to be very inappropriate.

And we mistakenly attributed the target of that insult to Miss Amy Bird.

Now, it has come to our attention after this episode was released

that he was not targeting Amy Bird with that insult he was not thinking of

of Amy Bird had nothing to do with his comment as best as we can understand so

we misread, misunderstood, jumped to the wrong

conclusion. We were wrong in saying that this man said something horrible

about Amy Bird. He did not, certainly not in that

screenshot and we are sorry for making that mistake and we will strive to do better

to be even more careful in in reading and
