Summary

After filming in London, Neil Fitzmaurice was back at the ECHO today to record his latest Poetry in Motion podcast, joined by Paul Gorst and Caoimhe O'Neill. And, after the host's phone goes off not once, but twice, the trio get down to talking about Liverpool's nail-biting victory over Tottenham. Fitzy wasn't convinced by the starting line-up beforehand, and while the Reds did manage to get the job done, Caoimhe wonders whether we will be seeing what Paul calls Jurgen Klopp's 'go-to midfield' as much in the future, particularly given the growing influence of Fabinho. But where does Naby Keita fit in? That leads Paul to explain why the Reds may have moved past the need for a 'number 10'. Fitzy, though, still firmly believes the front three need more service, although the panel are all confident Mohamed Salah will now kick on after his part in the last-gasp winner over Spurs. They are also confident that the Champions League will be anything but a distraction in the quest for a first league title since 1990. If Liverpool land the Holy Grail, a lot of that will be down to Virgil van Dijk, whose performance at the weekend has Caoimhe, Paul and Fitzy purring. Enjoy.
