Hey there, creature catchers and welcome back to the creature feature.

In this special series, we are on a massive adventure across the entire world,

starting with South America to meet the strangest, goofiest and occasionally scary, magical monsters.

We'll learn about what they can do, what they eat, where they live,

and how to survive if you ever meet them.

That means hello in the Tupi language.

The Tupi people live in Brazil, an absolutely enormous country in South America,

famous for the Amazon River,

which is the biggest river in the whole world.

And Brazil is where we find today's featured creature.

Brazil!

Imagine walking through a dense, wet rain forest.

The air is warm and smells strongly of damp earth.

Suddenly, you hear a happy laugh echoing through the trees.

A small quick figure darts across the path.

It looks like a little boy, but he's riding a giant wild pig.

It's back bristling with coarse hair.

The boy has long dark hair and he's holding a thick stick.

He's charging quickly ahead, smashing aside thick vines,

making sure the forest animals are safe from careless hunters.
