I'm your host, Matt Dovey, and it is my absolute privilege to present for your enjoyment,

the Summer of Lugubriosity by M.T. Lee, narrated by AJ Fitzwater.

Because not only is this story a podcastle original, it is also the author's debut, which is always a very special sort of occasion, and I am thrilled we get to be a part of it. It is also important

that I told you this up front, because you wouldn't believe me otherwise, and I know this because I didn't believe it when I read M.T's bio after reading the story.

Because it is so assured and so perfectly my jamms a story and

well how about I shut up so you get to listen sooner.

M.T. Lee was born in Taiwan and raised in New Zealand and has lived in many different places since.

Prone to bouts of vagrancy he has been a teacher, academic and goat herd and currently has a day job

mostly involving spreadsheets. He is a recent graduate of the 2024 Clarion Writers Workshop.

This is his first published work.

A.J. Fitzwater is three goblins in a trench coat from Christchurch, New Zealand. Their books are the World War II Land Girls' shapeshifting novella, No Man's Land,

and the Lesbian Capabara Pirate Collection, The Voyages of Sinrak the Dapper.

They've also had a variety of short fiction published in venues of repute.
