our 2025. I remain your humble host and servant in these story tools halls, MacDauvey, and it is once again

my privilege to present another story for your enjoyment.

We begin our year appropriately and honestly, not with force, cheer and optimism, but with

nostalgia and regret and an acknowledgment of time passing us by, as rendered so beautifully in for

third time I Saw a Fox by Cecile Christofari, narrated by the inimitable and incomparable

Wilson Fowley. This story was first published in Interzone November 2020. Cecil

Christofari lives in South France, where she teaches literature by day and writes

stories when her children are asleep.

Her stories have been featured in various venues, from Interzone to Clarksworld.

Her debut collection, Elephants in Bloom, is available from New Compress.

Wilson Fairley lives in the suburb of Vancouver, Canada and has been reading stories out loud since the age of four.

He credits any talent he has in this area to his parents, who are both excellent at reading aloud.

He started narrating stories for more than just his own family in late 2008 when he answered a call for readers on the Podcastle Forum.

Since then he has gone on to read dozens of stories

for Podcastle as well as all of the other Escape Artist cast and many other fiction podcasts all over

the web. He does all this narrating when not reading copy for corporate videos or acting in local
