Jonah Platt is here. He is part of a Hollywood family. Ben Platt is his brother. You probably

famously know Ben from being on Broadway Book of Mormon was one of his big Broadway debuts.

Ben is also Ben and dear Evan Hansen. But Jonah is here as his brother,

and Jonah has created his own path. He has a great story to tell, and he has a story of creating

a podcast called Being Jewish. It was very important for him to start speaking up with his Jewish

voice, everything that's been happening since October 7th attacks in Israel.

Jonah actually was also on Broadway, was a voice actor.

His dad was one of the producers of Wicked, so we talk about Ariana Grande and Cynthia Arrivo. But it's really been about

his path to creating his own podcast and activism. Plus, we have to talk about the fact that he

has the same personal trainer as Justin Baldoni. And I need to know ever. And clearly, I mean,

with Ariana Grande and the boyfriend? I mean, where do we start, Jonah?

Oh, God. That's up to you. It's what a smorgas board of options there. I know. I know, right?

Okay, well, let's talk a little pub culture and then I want to get into all your amazing activism.

I listen to your podcast, which is very informative. Thank you. Okay, okay, you, you, you kind of grew up in a Hollywood family. I mean, is this true? Your father actually produced Wicked the film? Yes, and the musical. And the musical on Broadway. Um, okay, so what's that like? Like, is your dad like like, in a room writing all the time? No.

So he's the, I mean, he's the producer. He's not the writer. Oh, that's true. And, you know, when I was growing up, he was mostly for most of my childhood and executive at different studios. Okay. So very much, you know, the business back end side of Hollywood, not so much to the like the glamorous whatever.

And then he finally became an independent producer right when I was like in high school,

which had always been his dream and what he'd been working towards all of his career.
