All right guys happy holidays first of all in a very Merry Christmas love this time of year

Not only for you know the the great sports that are going on.'s full time but everybody's in a good

mood for the most part just it's a it's an awesome time of year so I just

wanted to start this off by wishing everybody a very Merry Christmas, happy holidays, all that good stuff.

Just want to do a really quick hit on Iowa State's win on Sunday over Purdue, Fort Wayne, 8959.

I would say it was favored by 18 in this one,

so clearly exceeded that.

This won't be too long, because know how much can you analyze a win over

Purdue, Fort Wayne, but I did think that this was kind of what the doctor

ordered for Iowa State after that really embarrassing outing

against the University of Iowa over a week ago. There's a lot to like from today, but I'm digging deeper than just a 30 point win I don't really take much from that because that's you know that's what you should do to schools like this I was looking more at like style of play and in that type of thing.

How can you build on just really anything from the first half of this, you know, I want to say half the season

because there's more than half the season left, but you know what I mean?

How can you evolve, I guess, to the point where we could all look at ourselves in the

mirror and honestly say we think this could be an NCAA tournament team and you

know a lot of that comes down to this is the same thing we've been talking about, but the team has to be a grittier team than you're used to seeing from Iowa State.

It has to be a nastier team. It's got to play better defense. It's got to do all those things and I think we saw a lot of attention to detail on that aspect of the game today. Purdue, Fort Wayne is not a very good team.

I'm not going to, this doesn't really change much of my opinion on the Iowa State basketball team,

but I liked how they bounced back after the long

week off and I can also say I've been doing this long enough now. This last

game before break is generally one of the more difficult games of the season to be focused for.

I would say it usually wins these games because the opponent's usually not very good.
