Summary

I'm sharing a quick update about a few changes to expect with the podcast when it comes back on the air on August 19. And, I'm sharing the high-level survey results that drove some of these changes.

Eliminate the Rate It Game (and replace with a closing question I ask every guest).
Add quarterly special episodes with a recurring guest host (in addition to the Previews)...that focus mostly on backlist books.
Begin the Fall with bi-weekly full length episodes until I understand how much time I have available given my kids' virtual learning.
Target more "regular readers" (i.e. readers without a bookstagram account) as Mini Episode guests. Aim for a nice mix of bookstagrammers and regular readers.

0:56.7	I'm back today to give you an update on some changes you'll be seeing the podcast moving

1:03.1	And I wanted to go ahead and do that before the first real episode airs on August 19th.
1:09.8	And that episode is featuring Catherine Adele West, who is the author of
1:14.6	Saving Ruby King, one of my favorite novels I've read this year. And again, that will be airing on
1:20.9	Wednesday, August 19th. So today, I just wanted to check in with you all about some of the high level results from the survey that many of you took way back in February.
1:32.6	I know that's such a long time ago and the world looked really different then, but I hope these results still apply somewhat, at least.
1:41.8	And I will be doing a new survey in, I don't know, probably six months to a
1:48.0	year, I would say. So I spent some time during my break analyzing the survey results. And I used
1:55.9	that information to try to figure out how the podcast will look moving forward.
2:01.5	And another reason that I needed to reevaluate is that like many other parents during this time,
2:06.9	my kids will be doing the first nine weeks of school virtually at home in my house,
2:12.7	which is also my office.
