Summary

On this episode, Aaron, Greg, and Jeff talk about the recent controversies surrounding the Redbull Rampage and mountain biking 14ers, plus the mythical “do-it-all” mountain bike.

Production note: Going forward we plan to share two podcasts each week. Last week we screwed up the recording for our second episode so we only had a chance to publish one episode. 🙂

on Vital MTV, talking about the risk versus the reward for Red Bull

athletes. And I wanted to hear what you guys thought, Aaron and Greg, about what these

The riders are risking death, serious injury, paralysis,

1:26.3

even in situations that aren't necessarily as insane as

1:31.4

rampage, mountain bikers, especially on the pro level, are risking those things. Look at Martin

1:36.9

Ashton. He got paralyzed and he wasn't even, you know, doing rampage. He was totally confident

1:42.3

in what he was doing and there's a fluke accident

1:45.0

and now he's paralyzed. So I think that's sort of always on the line and no more so than
