All right guys it is March and the big 12 tournament. It doesn't feel the same going on in Kansas City this week just because not everybody

You know allowed to be there and all that stuff but it is it's nice to have this we didn't have it last year

and it's great to the Iowa State women's basketball team I think has just been an absolute blast to watch this year, not only with all the young

players, but I think there's been some great stories as well with seniors coming off the

bench and doing great work and really it's been a blast and I hope you guys have enjoyed watching this team.

I sure have I welcome my friend Billy Finley from the Iowa State Women's Staff right now to take a quick look at the

women's Big 12 tournament that starts for Iowa State on Friday at 1030 in the morning

and we'll have complete updates and everything from Kansas City obviously but first of all Billy it's good to get to the post season man 17 and 8 record this year upper half of the big 12

finish the team's been a blast to watch how are you today my friend yeah doing well

Chris thank you thanks for having me on we're excited, you know, it's been quite a year for everybody, but I think our kids have been COVID tested close to 100 times and we've been wearing masks in practice since the very first day and we continue to do that we'll do that again today.

So what we've asked them to do to just be able to play a game is something

that we've never done before and they've done that with great you know ability and great understanding of what that looks like and how different that is

like and how different that is from normal college students. So we went into

the season saying that just the ability to play the game was a win and then anything on top of that was going to be gravy and obviously a 12 and 6 record in what is a great league with 5 maybe 16 teams that are going to be in the NCA tournament.

We can't complain. We're very excited. We love the situation that we're in and we get to keep

playing for quite a while here so we're going to give

our best shot. The I'm sure you've talked a lot we'll get to Texas here in a

minute but the the freshman on your team have garnered a lot of headlines.

I want to start though, I was so impressed this year with the seniors.
