We've been talking basketball, we've been talking stadium experiences all sorts of stuff over the last few weeks here in the

dogems of summer but football season is almost upon us you've been hard at work and I want to

go straight into a story you got on Inside Carolina today.

You interviewed coach Keith Heckendorf about North Carolina's quarterback situation.

It's got a lot of people nervous in Chapel Hill and Carolina fandom.

Just overall, talk about that discussion you had with Heck.

Well, Hackendorf's a young guy, and I think he has a good rapport with recruits.

He also has a good rapport with his players because he can kind of connect with him.

Being young helps, obviously, but also the fact that, I mean, he was a world-class quarterback in college.

He played at St. Cloud State.

It was a two-time finalist,

which for the Harlan Hill Trophy,

which is given to the top player in Division II football.

He was second one year and third of the other.

So a heck of a player, a good scholar.

He was a two-time academic on America.

So he's kind of got the background that you want.

He's a guy that it worked in Nebraska for a couple years was office coordinator at

western Carolina before coming to North Carolina and he's been at at UNC for for a long
