John, thanks for joining me again on the Working Cowes podcast. Welcome back. Clay, thank you so much for having me back. It's quite an honor. It's surprising to me how much time has gone by since I was here in our previous conversation. I need to have you over to my podcast for a conversation as well. I look forward to that opportunity if it if it materializes.

The yeah, six years. Six years years is too long but we've both

been doing our own thing and and very very much appreciate all the work that you've been doing

over those number of years and today this is releasing the day lord willing this is releasing

the day before the 2024 presidential election.

And throughout the process of the lead up to that election, there have been many conversations

that you and I both have kind of probably had to close our mouths at like, wow, I can't believe

we're actually hearing people who

with influence in presidential campaigns talk about the need for regenerative agriculture

to fix the health crisis in America. So I want to talk to you today about making America

healthy again and kind of your thoughts on how we would go about regenerating.

And I think probably relocalizing on some level our food system, do you think that both of

those things are important or one of those things is more important than the other?

You know, my kind of stark realization, I did something 15 years ago that wasn't easy, but I do wish more people would have an appetite for.

And that is, we were mainstream, very heavy pesticide users.

And there wasn't a lot of information available at the time.

There is more information available now, although it's not nearly enough.

But I started digging into an understanding, trying to understand the exact modes of action,

the exact mechanisms for various pesticides, how they influence
