In all areas, the UK continues to backtrack.

The European Union argues that we should be subject to rules of the club that we have left.

The precondition is the level playing field.

We can deliver a real Brexit that achieves our objectives.

But if there is not a deal, we still need the Irish protocol or the Northern Irish protocol fully implemented.

EU-UK. Relations are back on crisis mode as the UK publishes the bill that would effectively demolish the Northern Ireland Protocol.

Boris Johnson said, it's not a big deal. The Taoiseach Mihal Martin says it's a new historic law in relations

and the European Commission resumes legal action against the UK.

We'll assess what's in the bill, how we got here and whether a trade war is now inevitable.

We'll also have a flavour of how the principal players reacted from Dublin to London to

Belfast. But first Tony Vigates in Wuppertal, it's for surenich a lot better there than it is

in terms of mood music than it has been in Brussels, older here in Dublin. Yes, indeed. Well, I'm here

actually at a symposium on Irish border narratives, which was organized about six months ago when the, I can tell you, the organizers couldn't believe their luck when it fell on the week that's in it.
