Love to tell you that we all discovered ZZ top too late because ZZ top the best of ZZ top

is before the rest before the pop culture world knew him. The reality is when you say ZZ top

ears perk up. Thank you, Chad. Ears perk up. And the reason they perk up is because everybody knows

and loves ZZ top. But everybody knows and loves the ZZ top that we were introduced to on MTV.

Well, there's a whole group of ZZ top fans that hates the rest of us discovering their band.

And we're losers because we didn't know about them in the 70s when they were a not

nearly as well known bluesman. But I'm okay. I'm comfortable embracing the ZZ top that I came to know

when I saw them on MTV and found out they're the little brand from Texas and that they were from

Houston and maybe one day I would live in Houston. Maybe one day I'd get to meet them and Frank

Beard's a listener and everybody knows them and they're super cool. That's there's so much more

than the music. But I mean, in terms of a definitive rock band, nothing defines Houston. I mean,

I don't know that anything defines Texas. I mean, can you think of something right off top of your

hand? What? Oh, yes. When we were raised in Cloverleaf, the painter Gidry,

and when they were coming to check out their little red coupe and their purple mercury,

we got on our bicycles and ran over there. Hey, we got to see ZZ top. It was so fun and school.

Are you white? Yes. And you were raised in Cloverleaf? Yes. What year was that?

Yeah. 78 all the way to... I got it. My parents moved out there in 1991, 1992 and moved across me.
