What's ever been welcome to Podcast Beyond episode 177, the GDC Diary 2011, a long time podcast

listeners know this is Greg Miller, who posted Podcast Beyond.

And years ago, when Podcast Beyond first began, I did this GDC Diary, right?

When GDC rolled down. GDC is a yearly conference called the Game Developers Conference.

It's a conference here in San Francisco where there's a bunch of speeches for game developers,

and a lot of companies come through and actually show some of their new wares, new games,

they'll be coming up and wanted all boils down to you. And at that time, Podcast Beyond just started,

we were a rag tag bunch, started doing these GDC Diary entries where I would record the segments on my way there.

Talk to people, talk to their IG nerds about stuff we saw.

And then piece together this patchwork of a show that kind of gave you the feel for being there at the show.

So we're doing that again, a million differences.

IGN is now in San Francisco, downtown proper, so I don't drive anywhere anymore.

So the bits walking there are literally me walking and talking to a tape recorder.

So it looks like a goddamn idiot, and everyone looks at me because it's clearly on a cell phone.

I'm clearly talking to your microphone, like I'm some kind of goddamn crazy person.

But that doesn't matter. What has happened to everybody? Let's catch you up.
