Hey everybody, welcome to the single tracks podcast. I'm Jeff. I'm the publisher and co-founder of Singletracks, and today we've got three interesting stories for you, including eight must-visit mountain bike resorts. We also have a review from John of the KTM Myroon Mountain Bike, and we're going to start things off with a review of an $80 high-deaf action camera from a company called Suku. This is a camera

0:44.9

you may not have heard about before, but it's actually a pretty good camera. The Suku-C-100 is an

HD action camera priced well under $100, and you can pick one up online for $79.95.

It looks just like a GoPro but the important question is does it work as well as one?

1:00.0

I had to find out. From a distance you could easily mistake the Suku for a GoPro with a signature shape and waterproof case.

1:07.0

Suku claims the camera plus case is waterproof down to 30 meters. The C-10

1:12.7

shoots video at up to 1920 by 1080 at 30 frames per second or 1280 by 720 at 60 frames per second.

1:21.8

There's also a still camera mode which shoots 12 megapixel shots. Soku includes a raft of additional features like the ability to use the C-10 as a PC web camera or motion sensor,

1:32.5

though mountain bikers probably won't get overly excited about those things.

1:36.0

The lens sports a wide 170-degree field of view, and there's a 1.5-inch LCD display on the back of the camera for setting up shots and replaying videos.

1:46.0

The C-10 includes HTML and USB output and is micro-SD card compatible up to 32 gigabytes.

1:53.3

Battery life is claimed at an hour plus when recording video at full resolution.

1:58.3

Like the GoPro, there are just a couple buttons to operate this camera.

2:01.7

To avoid all those menus, Suku offers free iPhone and Android apps, which connect to the camera

2:06.9

via Wi-Fi. While I was able to successfully connect my phone to the camera to browse video

2:11.5

files, I wasn't ever able to actually preview shots or start and stop the camera via the app.

2:17.3

Suku seems to have done their best to make the mounting system start and stop the camera via the app. Sooku seems to have done their

2:18.7

best to make the mounting system compatible with all the GoPro accessories on the market. The company

2:23.7

includes a ton of mounts in the box, making it possible to mount the C10 to a helmet, handlebars,
