And then there is his story about his brother's vision of bonding psychedelics with our DNA to launch a permanent trip "on the natch". The Timewave makes an appearance also. All-in-all, it's a fun ride from a young Terence McKenna. Had you taken Terence's advice and picked up a remainder copy of the Codex Seraphinianus for $19, that would bring you about $600 today. Not bad advice, I'd say. Codex seraphinianus Hardcover – January 1, 1983 ($650) It may be hard to do, but if you take yourself back to 1988, where you didn't know what would happen in 2000 or 2012, you can see how appealing the idea of the Timewave was back then. …. he admits that he was "hearing voices" … but, nonetheless, when he goes into his poetic description of the Timewave it seems to me that there is still something about the nature of time that remains undiscovered.

0:23.3	And today we're going to listen to the final session of a Terrence McKenna workshop that somehow found its way to me.
0:30.5	And the good news is that in the weeks ahead, there may be even a few more of Terrence's talks that I haven't played before.
0:38.7	Another bunch of his cassettes has recently landed on my desk, and once I've had a chance to digitize them, we'll listen to them here in the salon.
0:47.9	Now, in today's program, Terence begins by talking about some books that he recommends for your psychedelic library.
0:54.8	And I have to admit that I hadn't even heard of many of them.
0:59.3	And thanks to the Internet, though, we can now find out more about them much easier than we could have way back when this talk was first given.
1:07.3	Also, Terence treats us to a more detailed look into the very high weirdness that he and his brother Dennis experienced at La Chirera in the 70s.
1:19.1	Eventually, then, he gets into a description of his time wave hypothesis.
1:23.9	As you may know, I've not posted some of his time wave talks in the past because, well, he usually used a computer to display examples of what he was talking about.
1:33.9	This time, though, he didn't have a computer handy, and so he spent more time actually describing the inner workings of his idea, which is pretty fascinating.
1:44.4	Now, while we seem to have written off the time wave as just a strange idea, I think that if
1:50.3	you listen closely to his reasoning, you might pick up an idea or two about time that still is
1:57.0	worth pursuing. So for the newcomers to the salon who haven't been exposed to the
2:02.1	timeway before, I think this is a really good place to hear it for the first time. And now,
2:08.4	here's Terrence. One of the things that people don't do enough of when they do psychedelic
2:15.4	work is spend time in the library.
2:19.4	I mean, there's a great deal of published literature on these things, historical, chemical,
2:25.6	so forth and so on.
