and I'm your host here in the Psychedelic Salon.

Now, although I planned on getting this podcast out yesterday,

I kind of got waylaid by listening to reports about the big storm

that's underway in the northeast of the U.S. right now.

I've actually got a lot of friends in the area,

not to mention all of our fellow saloners, who are going to have to shuttle a lot of friends in the area, not to mention all of our fellow

swanors who are going to have to shuttle a lot of snow this year. Is it just me or are some

parts of this planet slowly morphing into areas that are now unfit for human habitation?

Granted, snow can be fun under the right circumstances, but dealing with a lot of snow and ice and cold weather each year most definitely takes something out of you.

My mother and stepfather relocated from Northern Illinois when they were in their early 70s and moved to Florida, where they enjoyed almost another 20 years.

But during that time, every one of their friends that they had left behind up north died long

before they did.

Obviously, there were a lot of other factors involved in their longevity, but I'm convinced

that getting out of the winter weather was the primary thing that helped them live so long.

Now, for today's talk, we're going to again go back to the 2014 Palenque Norte lectures

that were held at Burning Man.

And today's speaker is Rack Razam, whose work I've mentioned here in the salon before.

As you may remember, Rack is the man who created the book and the video that are titled

Aya Awakenings, that deal with his exploration of the shamanic medicine, ayahuasca.
