I don't know if I've done this for a while, but used to back in the day I would do a podcast on my birthday,

the idea being that I love to give something to you on this special day.

So I have one today that I was able to work in. I recently recorded an episode with my buddy Bill Polanuck. He's a friend that I met,

oh gosh, about the time that this podcast originated in 2013. We've known each other about this

whole stretch. And it was over a little

radio gig that I was doing at the time, and I was introduced to him by a mutual friend. And

anyway, we just developed this great friendship over the years. Bill had a stroke about nine

months ago, and I've done a couple of episodes one pretty much right after the

stroke then another one a little while back and I wanted to do one more for a very specific reason

Bill is doing remarkably well as you will hear but with everything that he has done along the way, and he did give up alcohol during this process,

which I think is amazing. And I keep saying it, but that's a good thing to do if you want this

kind of result. And for Bill now, it just seems to me that in talking to him of late, things are

just falling into place for him magically right now,

and I wanted you to hear the story around that. This is a time that many are challenged,

and yet I think of all that we've talked about and learned on here and taught on here since

2013, and Bill just puts a great big, nice bow around it

and serves it up on a plate of reality. As you will hear from his amazing voice, Bill is a disc jockey

in the old Western North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana. He's worked in a lot of different areas, but he is also just a

salt-of-the-earth country boy. Nothing fancy, nothing slicked up, as real as it gets, that kind of

authenticity that you often find outside of the city limits. So when he tells you what's been going on,

it's coming straight from his heart. A heart, by the way, that you will hear also soon is going to be repaired in what Bill
