Court this week rejected a plea to legalize same sex marriage. I mean, the headline is that,

but it's sort of not really that if you know what I mean, that's just the incendiary headline because

the five member bench of judges did rule unanimously against the petitioners, but they did say it's

because it's up to parliament to create any laws recognizing same sex unions, right? And they did

do a few other things in this ruling. They ruled that transgender people can marry other transgender

people. And they expanded the definition of discrimination. India is considered a somewhat

socially conservative country. Remember the most popular country in the world recently passing
