1:57.0 | But I would say I do read, I have read the Bible. |
2:01.0 | I think everybody kind of should. There's a lot of life lessons in there, even if you're not a religious or Catholic person or Christian at all. |
2:08.0 | And if you were just to read one book in the Bible, I would suggest the gospel of St. John. |
2:16.0 | It's beautifully written gospel. It's the most famous of the four gospels. |
2:20.0 | The other three, as you know, it's Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Matthew, Mark, and Luke are known as the synoptic gospels. |
2:27.0 | While the gospel of St. John is like the main one because it's got a lot of stuff that's not in the other gospels. |
2:32.0 | Kind of talks to the story of Jesus' ministry. Like I said, you don't have to believe in Jesus or Christianity at all. |
2:39.0 | It's got, but it has good parables, life lessons, stuff like that. |
2:43.0 | As you all know, I like to recommend books. I actually had to do a paper on just like three verses of the gospel of St. John. |
2:50.0 | And I had to go, the only sources allowed were actual books about the gospel of St. John. |
2:55.0 | You would not friggin' believe the amount of words that people have written just about that one gospel. |
