You're listening to Subconscious Mind Mastery, podcast number 143. Thomas Miller back with you.

0:08.9

And yes, this is a continuation of podcast 142. So if you're working your way from iTunes working backwards, skip down to podcast 142 first and then come back up here, because literally

0:24.1

this is just an ongoing, we're starting back up where we left off.

0:28.1

We are discussing Neville Goddard's article called Believe It In, where basically the technique

0:34.1

that Dave asked was, what about this concept of saying something in the past tense

0:40.8

as though it was reality? Something that we would like to have in our lives, we state it as

0:46.9

though it already exists. It's the exact same concept as scripting. Scripting, you write something

0:52.7

like you're a journalist writing about an

0:54.9

event that just took place. So a journalist, unless they were doing a live shot of breaking news,

1:01.0

would always talk about something that had just happened. But they would talk about it in the urgency

1:05.8

of its fulfillment. In other words, like a traffic accident. Let's say that, you know, in your town that a milk truck collided with a chicken truck.

1:14.7

They had to clean up all the chickens in the milk before rush hour could continue.

1:18.6

You know, there's the reporter out there talking about what had happened, the collision,

1:23.0

what's going on now, the cleanup, and what the impact is.

1:27.0

But that's creating a real situation right now.

1:30.7

And that's the concept going on here. You can do that through the concept of scripting. So you can

1:35.1

write in your journal or in your computer program, things that you would like to see unfold in your

1:40.5

life, but you write about them as though they've already happened. Write it as a journalist

1:45.6

covering you. That's a very powerful technique. There's another addition to that is you can buy a thin

1:53.5

notebook. Don't get it too thin, but you want at least, say, 30 or 60 or something pages in there.

2:00.4

And the idea is that if you write in that journal every

2:03.8

day on a page about what you want, that by the time you have written on the last page of the journal,
