Summary

I pushed the start time a bit because I wanted to see the outcome of the Kavanaugh SCOTUS confirmation vote. I talked about all the developments that happened throughout the week, and wondered what would happen in the future. Then I got into that crazy ChiCom computer spying story, the guy who sent Ricin to the Pentagon, and Brick Dollbanger broke a sex doll. Plus, dude tricked guys into gay sex, and kid in India shoved a bunch of wire into his dickhole. Music: Crowbar/"Walk with knowledge wisely"

The nays are 48. The nomination of Brett M. Kavanaugh of Maryland to be an associate

1:48.3

justice of the Supreme Court of the United States is confirmed. Okay, there you have it. It's

1:55.2

finally happened. I would say it's over, but we know this is far from over. And yeah, you know, I wasn't even planning

2:03.1

on starting with this because, frankly, there's not much more to say about it. But this is the

2:07.9

main story of the United States. And let's just talk about it really quick. And what's

2:12.7

happened throughout the week? Of course, this vote was almost entirely along party lines, 50 to 48, as I said.

2:19.3

Senator Lisa Murkowski did vote present instead of no. And that apparently was in order to accommodate a colleague who could not attend.

2:31.3

It was another senator who was attending his daughter's wedding,

2:35.2

and he said he would vote yes and fly back if necessary in order to cast a vote, but that

2:41.2

was not apparently needed. The lone Democrat to support Justice Brett Kavanaugh was

2:49.4

Joe Manchin the third, senator out of West Virginia.

2:54.4

And this final vote was expected. All senators had announced their intentions by Friday after that nomination cleared that crucial procedural hurdle in a 51 to 49 vote.

3:06.3

And now, although the fight is over, people on both sides of the debate agree that this

3:12.9

will have lasting ramifications on the Senate, the Supreme Court, and the nation.
