Summary
This week’s podcast, nearly doubling the length of a normal podcast for our annual prediction special, opens with Lorenz and Shaw discussing Ohio State coach Urban Meyer’s three-game suspension and the findings the Buckeyes published following their investigation. The two also lament on Ohio State’s pitfalls in handling the situation with the public, as well as what it means for Meyer and the Buckeyes in a recruiting sense moving forward. After that, the two handle a couple Michigan football questions, including talk about special packages for Joe Milton, the intensity of the Wolverines’ schedule and more. Then, it’s prediction time. Lorenz and Shaw go back and forth, debating who they think will lead the Wolverines in interceptions, tackles, tackles for loss, sacks, rushing, receiving and more. They also take a stab at what Shea Patterson will look like statistically this season, as well as their picks for offensive and defensive MVP, freshmen of the year, most improved players, top assistant coach and more. Finally, the two wrap things up with their predictions for Michigan’s season record, the Big Ten landscape, how other conference title games will play out, who makes the College Football Playoff and who wins the Heisman Trophy, with plenty of dissension along the way.

| 0:49.9 | But before we do, there was obviously, I mean, this news trumps anything that happened in college football this week, probably all month, probably next week. |
| 1:00.6 | I can't imagine there would be something bigger. |
| 1:02.0 | Urban Meyer suspended three games. |
| 1:05.7 | And Steve, I know we had kind of talked about it before. |
| 1:09.0 | I don't think we were of the assumption he would get fired. |
| 1:12.2 | I know I predicted on my show that it would be a three-week suspension. |
| 1:16.1 | That was before I saw the findings, though. |
| 1:17.8 | And I think to me, that's the bigger news, the findings. |
| 1:21.6 | I mean, literal cover-up when he tried to delete the phones and avoiding a student newspaper Freedom of Information Act, |
| 1:29.2 | which is a federal law. So a few things there. Obviously, there was more stuff. I mean, |
| 1:35.3 | Zach Smith, I think some people have started to call him a cancer. He was. Urban Meyer hitched him to his |
| 1:41.7 | wagon and was almost brought down by it. |
| 1:45.4 | So I'll weigh in. |
| 1:47.3 | I've said a lot on the radio this week, so I'm almost like drained at the whole topic. |
