Summary
For the second week in a row, our podcast is centered entirely on basketball. We open by reflecting on Michigan’s weekend in Des Moines, looking at Des Moines as a host city, how the Wolverines fared in blowout wins over Montana and Florida and what some our lasting impressions of the weekend were. Included are looks into Charles Matthews, Jon Teske, Zavier Simpson and Isaiah Livers’ progress.
Then, we turn the page to Michigan’s Sweet Sixteen trip to Anaheim, where the Wolverines will face the nation’s No. 1 defense in Texas Tech. We dissect how the Red Raiders’ defense is so good, what Michigan can do to get around it, other things Texas Tech brings to the table and what the biggest thing the Wolverines can do to help their chances is.
We also discuss what Michigan needs to accomplish as a team to get out of Anaheim unscathed and make it to the Final Four, while taking a look at the state of the Wolverines after the first weekend of the NCAA Tournament.
Finally, we look at the rest of the NCAA Tournament, previewing the Sweet Sixteen at large and other matchups we’re excited for.

| 0:49.1 | I don't think we're going to get to them today. |
| 0:51.6 | But talking the Wolverines because they made the, made it to the sweet 16, third year in a row, fifth time in seven years. |
| 0:58.5 | Tied for most in the country, I believe, with Kentucky and Gonzaga and North Carolina. |
| 1:04.1 | So once again, Michigan looking good in March. |
| 1:08.5 | I got some questions here. |
| 1:10.6 | Let's start with Ben Leaders, who said, |
| 1:13.0 | thoughts on Des Moines as a first and second round site. I was there. I thought it was very good. |
| 1:19.1 | I don't know about you, Steve. I don't know if there's a difference for the viewers at all, |
| 1:23.6 | but, you know, I think sometimes the smaller cities are the better first weekend sites. You know remember they were in Wichita last year is the same thing where it's like I think it's I'd like them to be more centrally located it doesn't make a lot of sense that there's like eight teams that are vying for Columbus when only two get to go as far as the top 10 or 12 teams. |
| 1:46.8 | It seems like they could probably use more upper Midwest and ACC kind of locations instead of out west. |
| 1:54.3 | Even out west, there's Salt Lake City and San Jose. |
| 1:58.3 | Any thoughts on that? |
