Summary

On today's show, Pat and the boys look ahead to tonight's Thursday Night Football game between the Bengals and Browns and whether or not it is a must win for Baker Mayfield and the Browns. Joining the show is Pat's former teammate, Pro Bowler, 11 year NFL veteran with the Browns and Colts, D'Qwell Jackson. Pat and D'Qwell chat about tonight's game, why the Browns can't seem to turn it around, and the first time D'Qwell met Pat in the Colts locker room (1:48-16:56). Next, Pat is joined by former NFL Quarterback and current QB Guru who has coached the likes of Joe Burrow, Josh Allen, and Sam Darnold among others, Jordan Palmer. Pat and Jordan discuss what makes Joe Burrow different and what he has that makes him different and why he thinks Baker Mayfield has a lot more to offer and that he still has a lot of good football ahead of him (16:58-33:01). Later, former Colts and Patriots defensive back, 9 year NFL veteran, cohost of the Man-To-Man Pod and Everything DB, friend of the program, Darius Butler joins Pat and AJ Hawk for another installment of McAfee & Hawk Sports Talk. DB breaks down why he thinks Joe Burrow will hit his passing yards over tonight, what he thinks of each teams defense, what the Colts need to do to turn things around, and more (39:42-51:56). Then, Pat and AJ discuss the way each of them practiced, they give their predictions for tonight's game, and chat about the newest NFL Hall of Fame nominees and who's getting in next year (33:03-1:04:18). Hello, it is Thursday, September 17th, and we can't thank you enough for choosing to listen to this show big show, big guest, big conversations.

0:09.9

Darius Butler, Dequel Jackson, Jordan Palmer, AJ Hawk, all the boys. Let's have a Thursday.

0:21.6

As always, I know that you can choose a lot of other things to penetrate your ear holes. So the fact you let us do it, we are eternally grateful.

0:28.6

Another company we are eternally grateful for is the greatest sports book, fantasy, and free to play company on planet earth.

0:39.2

Fando. Fando is obviously our biggest sponsor, Fando invested in us, and Fando has the tech, the sports gambling, the fantasy, and the free to play that is just top notch unmatchable.

0:51.5

Uncompeat withable, I would say, at this point. Fando has the best odds on planet earth for anything that you're potentially gambling, the best lines on earth, the best, the most user friendly app for sure.

1:04.7

And although we're only in five, six states at the moment, we will be opening that up to plenty, plenty more. So if you're in a state that does not allow mobile gambling, as soon as that thing comes live, there's only one place to go and that's Fando.

1:17.2

They still have daily fantasy for wherever the hell you want to play at. They also have free to play opportunities. Fando from top the bottom is a winning, winning organization. We can't thank them enough and we can't thank you enough for supporting them for supporting us.

1:31.9

And also, all we're trying to do this year is bankrupt the living hell out of them with our locks with our bets, which we'll talk about today for tonight's Cincinnati Cleveland Browns, AFC North Barnburner on Thursday Night Football.

1:44.9

But let's get to the show tie. Shall we? Joining us now is a pro bowl linebacker who played for the Browns for a long time than the Indianapolis Colts.

1:56.0

We're talking about a man who threw his head into other humans on purpose for a long, long time locker neighbor of mine for a couple years, ladies and gentlemen to club.

2:05.8

Yeah, Pat, how's it going, man? Hey, not too shabby. We had a conversation earlier FaceTime. I was shirtless and I told you I had to wear a shirt that had a collar on it and I was going to get changed.

2:18.4

I'm glad you put a shirt on. Thank you. No problem. I look good. You said I look good. You said I look jacked, tanned and impeccable. I think we're going to go that far. I thought that's what you said.

2:26.8

But I got dressed up to talk to you because this is your first time joining us on the serious XM Mad Dog Radio channel 82 and we appreciate the hell out of you, brother.

2:35.4

I think you guys were having me, man. It's always great to talk to the great Pat McAfee.

2:40.2

You and I were teammates for I think a few years, three years, maybe four years. I forget how long.

2:46.0

But you came over from the Browns. How long were you at the Browns?

2:49.9

Eight seasons, eight long seasons.

2:51.9

Okay, so let's talk about it because I think after you warmed up to me, which did not happen immediately, the people.

2:58.3

No, I didn't. I didn't.

2:59.9

Did not happen immediately. There was a little bit of a, it probably by the way, the exact same thing that's happening with a lot of the

3:06.5

Seriously right now. There's a lot of that happening right now. I came in a lot of energy, a lot of energy. And then you and I had a great conversation.
