Summary

On today’s show, Pat, AJ Hawk, and the boys preview tonight’s Thursday Night Football game between the Cowboys and Lions, and look ahead at this weekend’s slate as they set the table for week 14 of the NFL season. Joining the progrum to chat about tonight’s game, his thoughts on the 49ers moving forward and if they can make a run, and why the Bears passing game might be the thing that prevents them from winning a Super Bowl is 12 year NFL veteran at QB, ESPN NFL analyst/QB guru, Dan Orlovsky. Next, former offensive lineman for the Indianapolis Colts, and co-founder and co-CEO of Double Eagle Energy Holdings/Texas Tech Board of Regents member, Cody Campbell joins the show to outline how he’s trying to save college athletics as a wide majority of athletic departments are operating on a deficit, and many college sports programs are getting cut as a result. Later, Super Bowl Champion, former Head Coach of the Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys, Mike McCarthy joins the show to chat about why he really likes the Cowboys tonight, his philosophy when it comes going for it on 4th down, how he would have Jaxson Dart protect himself, and how excited he is for this weekend slate. On this NFL week 14 kickoff Thursday, December 4, 2025, this program begins now.

0:13.4

Football!

0:14.4

It is magical, and the NFL kicks off its 14th week tonight in a massive Amazon Prime,

0:23.2

prime prime time matchup, which has playoff ramifications,

0:27.1

which will be a storyline throughout the entire slate for the NFL this week,

0:31.0

but the Cowboys who might be the best team in football right now.

0:36.0

Now, at the beginning of the season, they certainly weren't,

0:38.2

and there was a lot of changes that were made, and Jerry Jones was saying, hey, I'm looking for $100 billion in natural gas. I don't care about the Dallas Cowboys defense right now. Well, everybody else around the Dallas Cowboys cared about the defense because where they ranked and how they looked, and then all of a sudden, Iberfleu starts really cooking. and Quinnon comes there, starts doing his thing. Logan starts doing his thing. And then all of a sudden, they got a front four that becomes an impenetrable wall. And then on the offensive side, they might have the best duo in all the ball and CD in George Pickens, let alone Ferguson. And then what Dak Prescott's been doing has been out of control. Shottie seems to have the entire team bought into what his culture is going to be. And special teams-wise, they got studs everywhere. So it's like, are the Dallas Cowboys, who are maybe a little bit of a laughing stock, both in the off season and also at the beginning of the season, are the Dallas Cowboys the best team in ball? And then they're on a team that just you know we saw it on thanksgiving jack white and m&m crushed it

1:32.2

i would like for them to potentially think about doing that tonight that'd be a lot to ask

1:36.4

obviously out of jack-and-m-m-and-m just to be doing this on a regular basis but boy they were

1:41.0

the best part about the detroit city they were hosting Thanksgiving for the entire world.

1:46.5

The numbers are up for these Thanksgiving games.

1:49.6

57 million or something watched.

1:51.3

7.2.

1:52.7

57.2 million.

1:54.1

47.7 million for the other one.

1:56.5

700 bagillion for the other one.

1:58.5

I mean, the numbers are insane.

2:00.2

So a lot of people just watch the lions do what the lions do.

2:03.1

And then a lot of people just watch the Cowboys do what the Cowboys do. So it makes you wonder, well, how does the public feel about this particular game? Let's go to one half of the hammer, that Cowboys AP tone. Monkey see monkey do I think it's a Pavlov's dog thing if we see a team do really good

2:18.9

Yop we like them and then when you see a team not too good, nope, we don't like them. Lions favored by three. What are the numbers for tonight and what should we be thinking about? Yeah, there's always a lot of recency bias in the gambling world. Lions minus three across the board. There's no two and a halfs. There's no three and a halfs out there as we speak. 78% of the bets are on the Cowboys with 83% of the money on the Cowboys. So it's not like, oh, there's like, you know, smaller bets. $10 bet. Correct. And then larger ones coming to the lines. No, no. It seems to be all Cowboys tonight.
