It's that time.

Lock and load.

The Michael Vary Show is on the air. 2015 President Trump, first-time candidate,

fills this groundswell of support from outside the traditional political ecosystem.

By the spring of 2016 in the primary process, it is a veritable juggernaut,

the likes of which we hadn't seen since the 1980 Reagan campaign.

But I would argue bigger and more robust and more loyal than even Reagan's support in 80.

Many people who don't study these things or really dig deep don't understand the extent

to which Reagan was the first Trump.

The establishment didn't want him.

The deep state didn't want him.

They wanted George H.W. Bush, the former CIA director.

They had him being this crazy guy he would get us into war.

Everything they did to Trump, they did to Reagan.

People forget that.

Reagan had a much more populist message, even though he was a very staunch conservative.

Then people remember.

His motto, I will remind you, was make America great again.

When Trump won the crowded primary and went into the general election and beat Hillary Clinton,

there was the sense that the people were communing with Trump.

They were watching him every day.

They were listening to what he was saying.
