The state of Texas is holding its primary runoff elections today the main

contest to watch is the republican race for u.s senate incumbent john cornan is fighting for his political

survival against texas attorney general ken paxton i know uh republican voters and as i said earlier really it's a question of who bothers to show up.

If only the most radical people show up in the primary, then I think that's going to be a challenge.

If we get a broad spectrum of Republican voters to turn out in the primary,

I'm optimistic about the outcome.

Very early numbers coming in.

You see a handful of counties reporting votes.

Ken Paxton leading in all of them.

Quarney beat Paxton here

solidly in the preliminary.

But again, looking at the early

vote right here,

Paxton's absolutely trouncing them.

The suburban establishment Republicans, business Republicans,

do they stick with Cornyn?

Do enough of them listen to the president?
