Tonight, chilling new details about the shooting that left two National

Guardsmen gravely wounded. A lone gunman opened fire without provocation, ambush style, armed with a

357 Smith & Wesson revolver. Ramonola Lockenwall is a 29-year-old Afghan National who came to the U.S. in 2021.

He served in the Afghan army for 10 years.

There are, of course, concerns among lawmakers, experts of tract this,

they're saying previous arrivals of large numbers of refugees from different parts of the world.

And that really there may be a handful, small handful who are eventually deemed a security risk of some kind.

What reassurances can you make about the screening process and the attempts to make sure that somebody like that doesn't make his or her way here?

I can absolutely assure you that no one is coming into the United States of America

who has not been through a thorough screening and background check process.

The family of specialists Sarah Bextram has to bury their daughter, who was bravely and selflessly

serving in our National Guard.

Not because she was off at war and murdered,

but because she was murdered in our nation's capital by a person who should have never been in this country in the first place.

Staff Sergeant Andrew Wolf was with her when they were on patrol and they were ambushed.

had driven from the state of Washington,
