It's that time.

Lock and load.

The Michael Very Show is on the air.

I have received over the years a number of emails from parents who are struggling with a child, and some of them we've talked to on the air, who is in a term that I didn't know.

I'm 53 years old when I was in school, this term didn't exist.

And that is, they are struggling with a child who is in transition or considering transition.

Or they've just learned that the counselor at school is telling little Tommy that he can be a girl or a little Susie, that she can be a boy, and they don't know what to do. And, you know, it's one of those things that if you don't have a kid going through this,

you might make an offhanded joke and, you know, it's funny or it's, you know,

you don't invest a lot of emotion.

But when your child is going through anything, you don't want to separate from your child.

You don't want to disconnect from your child.

You don't want to be estranged from your child.

You want to be the best parent you can.

And sometimes that's tough love, rub some dirt in it.

And sometimes that's understanding.

Sometimes that's listening. a real touchy-feely guy, but I'm probably a little more touchy-feely now that I'm older and I

understand, hey, you can't be the dad and mom that says we'll have nothing to do with you

anymore, or you leave your kid to a system and an industry that, in my opinion, is very dangerous.

So with all that in mind, I had a listener send me a book entitled

A Practical Guide to Gender Distress. And look, I know what some of you are thinking.

I don't want to talk about boys trying to be girls and girls trying. I don't either.

But the reality is it's happening. And I have my reasons as to why I think it's happening.
