It's that time. Lock and load. Lock and load. The Michael Berry Show is on the air. elections are important. important.

And not in the traditional way that people say our elections are important.

They're important in another way as well.

Let me give an example.

You know people will sometimes say when I talk about Mother's Day, Father's Day, Veterans Day, Memorial Day, that these are, and Valentine's Day, that these are Hallmark

Holidays.

And what they mean by that is this is a holiday that was created out of thin air so that Hallmark

could sell a grade card.

None of the ones I mentioned are.

None of them are, none of them are sort of flimsy holidays. They're real holidays. The importance of a holiday is, it comes from the

traditional as the Jews say, they have the high holy days.

It is a day that is holy, a day to celebrate the divine

in the way that Christmas is the date we chose.

Odd time being December and that's a long Danish story,

but when it should be in the spring,

but the day to celebrate the birth of Christ.

And as a Christian, that's very very important and it really doesn't matter to me what day of the year we choose.

We've agreed on December 25th, but not everybody in the world has, but it doesn't matter.

It's the birth of Christ, not which day of the year

or even which calendar we use that matters. But holidays do matter, particularly important days where we take a moment and we all stop and say, hey, everybody, stop, stand still.

Let's honor our mothers.
