Good morning and welcome to the Independent Republic of Mike Graham right here on Talk Radio.

The sun is shining and it is a beautiful day out there.

Today we will do our very best to keep your mood optimistic, free from worry and generally filled with good things.

Today, ladies and gentlemen, it's time to take the gloom and doom out of the world and bring

the happiness to the form. Whatever you have been thinking about, I want you now to

concentrate on the things that make you happy, the people that raise your spirits and the

elements of the world that are all good, rather than all bad. There's enough misery out there,

ladies and gentlemen, there's enough ghasty stuff out there if you want to concentrate on that be my guest but what

I would suggest to you is that you will feel an awful lot better if you don't do that and instead

if you look forward to what is going to be great about this week with that in mind we're also

preparing you for this afternoon's pending announcement that we will be moving ever closer to

opening bars and restaurants limiting the social distancing figures of one metre rather than two, and getting busy socialising with some of the people

we haven't seen for weeks and weeks a week.

I've already been talking to friends of mine about possibly meeting up for dinner, possibly

meeting up for lunch, possibly meeting up for drinks.

Now, I know that many of you out there will be desperately sad because you haven't

seen your loved ones. You'll be desperately disappointed because you haven't been able to see

maybe your grandchildren. You haven't been able to go to funerals. You haven't been able to go to

weddings. You haven't been able to have weddings. And, you know, listening to a bunch of middle-class

idiots in London saying, ooh, we'd really like to have lunch. I know that that may not exactly be your first priority.

However, what I want you to think about is that that eases life in general for everybody.
